How To Style Statement Sleeves
Statement sleeves are my favorite trend for the season and I’ve been hoarding all kinds of statement sleeves from bell sleeves to puffed sleeves to ruffled sleeves to gigot sleeves in my spring/summer closet. Statement sleeves not only adds a dramatic flair to your outfit but it’s the perfect way to make a ‘look at me’ mark on the map of street style with its chic and fun edge.
Statement sleeves were the biggest takeover on the runways of Spring/Summer 2017 among a variety of designers from Kenzo’s futuristic jagged sleeves to Delpozo’s bold ruffled sleeves. Sleeves are the fresh trick on the fashion block and the way to nail it is styling the tops with something simple and keeping it edgy. Let the sleeves do the talking, they are enough to add a unique dose to the simplest of outfits.
Minimalism is the key to style your statement sleeves.
For this outfit, I have styled a top with flounce sleeves. Flounce sleeves were seen in all sizes this season, and they tend to be subtle and feminine as compared to its counterparts. I’ve just done a bichrome combination to keep it minimalistic.
Also, I’ll be soon on doing a shopping suggestions post on statement sleeves, so stay tuned! Outfit details are at the bottom.
